Alana is a woman struggling to keep her relationship alive as her partner suffers with a debilitating illness. A new medical procedure offers the answer to their prayers, but not without forcing her to make one last sacrifice. With influences that go from Kafka’s stories to Hitchcock’s movies, “The Original” portraits a hostile world dealing with a character who fears losing the woman she loves. What are we willing to sacrifice for our idea of happiness? This question brought this short film to (a very desaturated) life.
