In an isolated house in the Alps, a woman is left to herself. Her daughter, Janet, seems to be no longer her after an accident; every medical cure turn out to be useless. Nives, (a pious godmother) thinking her granddaughter’s aberrations are mostly Satanic in origin, She recommends an exorcism be performed. The woman arranges a meeting, through the parish, with a roman exorcist. He arrive in the winter woods, and after a quick look his is convinced that Janet is possessed. He attempts to exorcise the demon, but the stubborn entity toys with him. The treatment lasts several days. Every attempt seems useless.
