The most terrifying clown in horror history is back. It’s a miracle he survived the massacre he put the protagonists of the first part through. He’s even more bloodthirsty now. He can’t wait to hear his victims scream. Halloween’s just around the corner, and his costume is like no other. This time he’s going to terrorize Sienna — disguised as an angel warrior — her friends and family. “Terrifier 2” knows no bounds. It’s gonna be bloody, crude, and brutal. No bounds in graphic violence, or easing the tension with Art the Clown’s sickeningly dark sense of humor. Compared to Art, Pennywise is a silly little joke.
“Terrifier 2” is not for the faint of heart. There is so much gore and terror in every single minute of Damien Leone’s movie, that it’s really hard to look at the screen at all times. This is practically a trademark of this clown’s story, a story that terrified viewers all around the world with its suggestive, gut-wrenching, gruesome nature.
“Terrifier’s” sequel introduces new, much deeper protagonists, better gore effects, and characterization. There is also the absolute lunatic, Art The Clown, drenched in blood, absolutely twisted, but always ready to shake things up. Are you ready, though?
“Terrifier 2” is one of the bloodiest and most brutal movies of this year’s Splat!FilmFest. In order to create a story that’s much more cohesive and protagonists who offer much more than pure agony of their own death, Leone worked on the script for a very long time. He also managed to pay his respects to the slashers of the ’80s. Both the first and the second part of the series were funded through crowdfunding. The director rejected offers from various production companies, as he did not want to cede the rights to the creation of Art The Clown.
Terrifying clowns have been taking the horror movie world by storm for quite some time now. The “evil clown” theme has been present in pop culture for ages, thanks to the story of a serial killer and rapist — John Wayne Gacy — who, before being discovered, was known as Pogo the Clown and would often attend children’s parties in the 70s.
Who are the scariest clowns on the big screen? Pennywise, the protagonist of the “It” series, as well as a TV series based on Stephen King’s novel under the same title, is one of many examples. There’s also Captain Spaulding from “House Of 1000 Corpses,” Billy from “Saw,” the clown from “Poltergeist,” and of course, the much more complex, Joker, Batman’s nemesis. However, none of them could ever hold the candle to Art The Clown, because none of these movies send shivers down the viewer’s spine quite like that monster from “Terrifier 2.”
David Howard Thornton returns to the screen as Art, Lauren LaVera, known for her role in the TV series “Iron Fist,” plays Sienna. The two are accompanied by Felissa Rose, who went down in horror history as Angela in the first part of “Sleepaway Camp.”
