Nothing hurts like unhappy love and fishing hooks
A group of friends decide to spend a holiday afternoon at a lake hidden in the depths of an abandoned quarry. The sun shines brightly, the meat on the grill sizzles pleasantly, cold beer cools the palates, however, the atmosphere between the characters becomes heavier and heavier. Tincho lets his buttery gaze fall on Alice, even though their relationship ended a long time ago. Unfortunately, she has taken her new boyfriend on vacation with her. The men throw hostile glances at each other, clench their jaws and emit manly snarls, getting ready to attack. Tola, the joyful and positive character, tries to alleviate the situation but the tension grows constantly until finally, someone can’t stand it anymore…
“In the Quarry” is not another predictable production of the type; “they went to the lake and died”. The Antonaccio brothers focus on natural and real emotions and then use them to consistently build up tension. They keep the viewer in a state of constant expectation, test his patience and charm his emotions. They create heroes in an authentic story, in which they immerse themselves intensely. They tell a story about love, betrayal, toxic masculinity, violence and carnivorous turtles.
